Sub:
Withdrawal of Duty Free Import Authorisation (DFIA) Scheme for import of raw
Sugar.

 

S.O.(E) In exercise of the
powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development &
Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade
Policy, 2015-2020, the Central Government hereby amends the following
provisions of FTP 2015-20 :

 

The following sub para (c) is inserted
in Para 4.25 of FTP 2015-20

 

“(c) Duty Free Import Authorisation Scheme
shall not be available for import of raw sugar.”

 

2. Effect of this Notification:

 

Import
of “raw sugar” under Duty Free Import Authorisation (DFIA) scheme is withdrawn
with immediate effect.
